How do I know that you are legitimate?

	ACS works with the most reputable and well established firms in the industry. All of the firms we work with have a successful track record for a minimum of 5 years, and they are either members of their respective state bar associations, members of the Better Business Bureau or both.

What are your fees?

ACS offers a budgeting consultation at no charge. However, if you qualify for assistance all fees associated with your plan will be included in your monthly payment. Keep in mind that as a requirement, all of our plans are designed to save you money. If any of our plans, fees included don’t save you money, we cannot help you.

Can you "guarantee" how much money you can save me?

No, our ethics rules prohibit us from guaranteeing an outcome or result. Every case is different and we cannot responsibly claim a specific result. However, our professional and experienced staff will work arduously for you to obtain the most favorable outcome for your situation. Also, keep in mind that regulators and law enforcements, such as, the FTC and State Attorney Generals frown upon companies that make claims of how much they can save you before any work is performed.

Can you "guarantee" when I will be out of debt?

No, we cannot guarantee when you will be out of debt. One of the reasons is that we don’t know if you will be able to make every single payment in full and in time. Likewise, your situation may improve and you may be able to accelerate your plan.

Is your plan better that Bankruptcy?

Our plan is different that bankruptcy. Bankruptcy is a legal, public procedure where as our plan is not. We believe that some people would benefit more from filing bankruptcy than from other forms of debt relief. If you want to find out more about bankruptcy we suggest you consult with a bankruptcy attorney. Please be wary of any non-attorney company that plays bankruptcy down or tells you that you would not qualify; only an attorney can help you determine if you would qualify for bankruptcy.

How do I know if my situation qualifies as a hardship?

	If you have gone through a loss or decrease in income, medical illness, death in the family or divorce, that led or has made it difficult to pay off your debt, you qualify for a hardship.

What types of debt qualify for assistance?

We can help you with most unsecured debts, such as, credit cards, medical bills, personal bank loans and secured debts where the item securing the debt has been repossessed. We cannot assist you with secured debts, such as, equity lines of credit, mortgages, car loans, jewelry loans, furniture loans, IRS debt and student loans. What is secured debt?

A debt attached to real property, such as, a car, a home, jewelry, furniture, ETC. The creditor can institute a foreclosure or repossession to take the property identified by the lien, called the collateral, to satisfy the debt if you default.
